Oh for simpler times...

I often think I was born at least a couple of decades too late and today only confirmed my suspicions.
We spent the morning at a good old fashioned fete. I was completely in my element.

I searched for pre-loved and handmade treasures while Joss wore himself out on the jumping castles and Ryan & Jarrah grooved in the Jake Cassar mosh pit.

We tried our luck on the chocolate wheel and treated our taste buds with some homemade butterfly cakes. Kenzie had opted out of the fete to keep his 92 year old great-grandmother company. He's such a sweet boy... so we got a cellophane wrapped plate of toffees with 100's & 1000's on top to take home for him.

We had such fun. It was so nice just to enjoy the simple stuff... devoid of computers or screens of any type, that clutter up our minds and consume our precious time. The cherry on top was that we were helping out an awesome charity while enjoying ourselves so much.

Now for the irony... while Kenzie was keeping his 92 year old great-grandmother company and I thought some of her old world wisdom might have been bestowed upon him, he instead introduced her to the world of Dr Who!
